Creating and firing an elert

Step 2 - Choose your parameters & subject

Step 2 - Choose your option tags & subject

Choose the parameters for your new elertz schema.  E.g. if your new elertz schema was alerting people to cars that you have for sale, your parameters could be “model” and “price”. If you run a dating site, you could be using parameters such as "age" and "gender". You get the idea!

You then need to pick the values for your new elertz option tags by entering them into the text boxes in the table on the right.

The subject is the text that will be shown to the user in their favorites list and elertz toolbar after they have subscribed to your elertz.

To create the subject, you simply use your parameters and create the ‘rule’ for the elertz schema.  E.g. for our car elertz, We could use the bookmark
'model  available now for less than price!'

We use the terms 'less than', 'more than' or 'equal to' to provide more options to the user.  Our customer may want to look only for porches costing less than a certain amount.

The schema wizard will look at your subject and check that it is ok before allowing you to move to the next step.

NEXT: finishing up...
